Inspiration

One of my cousins traveled to Turkey from the United Kingdom and she was not told that the UK had a travel advisory where anyone traveling from Turkey in the past two weeks couldn't enter the country and might face jail time if they entered without telling authorities. If she had an app or websites like Expedia and google flights had extensions like this before booking a flight, she wouldn't have had this problem.

What it does

The user inserts to and from they are traveling to and the app will tell them all of the procedures they need to have done before they enter their desired country and what is needed when they have to fly back to their original country. It will also announce any conflicts, like for example, Australia not allowing anyone who has been in India for the past two weeks to return to Australia without facing fines and jail time.

How we built it

I built the prototype using proto.io however it is only a visual and not a working prototype.

Challenges we ran into

I had trouble thinking about how to automatically search up government websites and efficiently provide the reader with credible information without them having to go on the confusing websites and search it themselves.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my first hackathon and I'm proud that I was able to finish it!

What's next for TRAVEL ADVISORY TRACKER

Building an actual prototype that works and can pull information from the government websites.
