Inspiration
Often smaller workers/local workers find it hard to get work in a world that is so full of communication technologies and yet so away from each other. Many people full of inspiration and passion and talent end up spending their entire lives not using it since there is no place to recognize their work, or encourage them to the world of making their dreams a living reality.
What it does
Travajo allows workers to make profiles on a local level and get work. It also exposes them to a range of international and national programs, schemes, as well as special initiatives for work for the underprivileged or rural sections of society around the world. It also gives them a place to learn the upcoming skills, how to build a resume and other skills required to step out in the big world of employment.
How I built it
I built it using basic react, tailwind and using firebase for google authentication and firestore database to keep the information of the workers and use it in the display.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm happy that I tried my best to avoid using AI for getting answers and learnt a lot instead.
What's next for travajo!
I am working on creating panels for lessons and learning in the Upskilling section. Adding search filters for workers type, more filters for female only/ skilled/ rated workers etc.
