Trashy The Trash Can

Inspiration

I was inspired on seeing people throwing away trash even when a trash can is near and not caring whether trash landed in the trash can or not

What it does

It uses a camera and OpenCV to see if a trash can is full if yes, it would contact the nearest garbage collecters using GPS and Bluetooth and it also uses Camera and OpenCV to see wether trash landed inside or not, if yes, it would play a recorded message saying "Please put the trash inside the trash can"

The project is not currently usable

The challenges were determining whether what landed next to the trash can is trash or leaves

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of Trashy The Trash Can because it would keep our environment clean and neat and free of diseases

What we learned

I learned a lot about OpenCV
