Inspiration
I spent my summer with my grandma who is my no. 1 inspiration. She organizes waste recycling projects in India where most people would rather burn their waste. This creates a rather unpleasant living condition. Our app will help create a trash free generation.
What it does
Users get paid a certain amount based on the trash they generate
How I built it
using Firebase as the link between my mobile interface and my Cloud API, we were able to receive responses from the images taken and calculate how useful the trash is.
Challenges I ran into
Training datasets is no easy task and it takes a long time to process, even with highly advanced computers on the cloud.
