Trash Sorter

Inspiration

I made a hack to help sort trash! I'm so excited to show it to you at this event.

What it does

It sorts trash.

How I built it

I used my webcam to look at the trash. It then goes through a Machine Learning model to detect if it is trash, recycling, or compost. After that, the motor attached to the arduino will sort the trash into the proper bin.

Challenges I ran into

I had a lot of trouble with the model that determines what time of trash the trash is.
