Inspiration

I was inspired by the trash issues when I was driving on the highways in Texas. There was so much trash and I felt like the wildlife was destroyed. We also wanted something cute and innovative as a game.

What it does

Rascal the raccoon travels through an abandoned city hunting for trash. It teaches people about how our future will look if we don't take care of the planet.

How we built it

We used a scratch interface and a drawing program called Krita. Scratch uses a simple block coding language.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble staying up and finishing our game. It was a struggle to decide between aesthetics and actual function.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We nearly finished the game and the art/ animations are good.

What we learned

We learned that you cannot sleep if you want to finish the game and not procrastinate on the game at all.

What's next for Trash Bandit

We hope to add more puzzles and lore to the game and create a more personal experience.
