Trap Runner is a fast-paced runner game built in Meta Worlds, combining simple mechanics with competitive skill-based gameplay. Players start together at the center of the arena and choose one of four routes filled with traps and surprises. Each path offers a different level of challenge — from safe and easy to risky and rewarding. The world currently features two biomes, the Forest and Ice, both created with Meta GenAI assets in a unified stylized look.

The goal is simple: reach the end and earn your medal. But the deeper challenge lies in mastering the traps — moving platforms, collapsing logs, and bouncing mushrooms — and finding the fastest, most efficient route.

Building Trap Runner required balancing visual variety with gameplay clarity. We wanted each biome to feel alive and dynamic without overwhelming the player.

In the future, the game will expand to four biomes — Forest, Ice, Mechanical, and Fire — and introduce team-based achievement modes that unlock new paths. A time-attack mode and multi-route design will let players explore alternate ways to finish each level. Our design philosophy: the easy path guarantees success, but only the hardest one leads to a record-breaking run.
