This project is inspired by some game I played on the Internet a few years ago. I don't remember the name though.
What it does
It's a 2 player game, one player is Harambe, one is the zookeeper. Each player must take turns. The zookeeper places walls on the circles in order to trap Harambe, while Harambe must escape the enclosure using the arrow keys. The left and right arrow keys move the gorilla left and right, respectively. The up + right arrow keys move the gorilla up and right. The up + left arrow keys move the gorilla up and left. The down + left arrow keys move the gorilla down and left. The down + right arrow keys move the gorilla down and right. The turns are indicated on the right, along with the the number of wins.
How I built it
I built using the Java Swing library. Sorry in advance to all the JavaFX elitists.
Challenges I ran into
It took a few hours for me to remember how to use Swing since I haven't used it in a couple years.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Hopefully, I brought back the Harambe meme.
What I learned
I learned that Swing sucks a lot.
What's next for Trap Harambe
I might make another game using LWJGL to destroy dead memes (including the Harambe meme)
