Problem Statement

Large-scale events in Hong Kong, such as the Victoria Harbour fireworks display, create massive crowd congestion and transportation bottlenecks. Attendees struggle to find optimal exit routes, real-time traffic information, and crowd density data, leading to frustration, safety concerns, and extended travel times during event conclusions.

Solution & Kiro Integration

This project addresses these challenges by creating a comprehensive Event Traffic Assistant that provides:

• Real-time countdown timers for event scheduling
  
• Interactive crowd density heatmaps using Leaflet.js and OpenStreetMap
  
• Smart route recommendations with multiple transportation options
  
• Live traffic status updates for MTR, buses, and taxis
  
• Border crossing information for mainland visitors
  
• Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities for offline access
