Transpay - Schechuled Payments

Inspiration

This application is inspired by the cinema payment method which was created to speed up the process, the tickets can be bought from the app and you only need to show the QR to enter

What it does

Transpay is a QR code generating platform with the objective of speeding up your payments, transactions and invoice. The users can elaborate on the movements from their home to obtain the QR code to do the grocery shopping and then pick it up by just scanning the QR code after introducing your payment card so the cashier makes all the pre-programmed movement and many others!

How we built it

This idea was developed after brainstorming about the different problems a society during the Covid-19 virus. We thought in a way to give support to the situation it was generating, while trying to generate a project with a utility during and after these circumstances. Transpay was constructed with the integration of different technologies. We primarily use node js as our programing language and installing different modules for the use of more tools like QR code and reader, MySQL, and many others. For us to be able to generate the access to the users, html5 was needed to create a platform using bootstrap, javascript, and CSS. To make it possible for us to provide access to the users we developed the login and signup of the platform, which is bound to the databases on Mysql. Once inside the forms and actions are completed by using the payment method Stripe which was integrated on our server of express with node js.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was identifying an idea that could satisfy a real need in the face of this contingency. The fact of integrating technology in an innovative way for our region and giving it an opportunity to cope with the situation in society was our driving force, however, a reason for the delay in our development.

Accomplishments that we are proud of

We have accomplished to develop each step from the start to an end while learning from the difficulties we encounter in the process. However we continue on the road to have a final product in which different technologies are applied. Generating a fast and efficient system will not only help during the Covid-19 situation, but also it can be a new opportunity to optimize the functioning of different places. On occasions creating a new technology is not the solution, but to know how to use what we have and integrate it is the solution.

###What we learned

Not only did we learn technical things, but we also learn how to find a real problem and search for a solution for it. We also worked in a remote way for the development of this project, dividing tasks in a proportional way to make easier the integration of all the work into one. On the technical side we learned to use and integrate different technologies from which some were unknown, for example node js, bootstrap, MySQL, QRcode, QRdecode, express, Stripe and some others. With all these different tools we had been able to finish with a final product.

What's next for Transpay - Schechuled Payments

Our team is conformed by people in the Computer Engineering field, passionate about technology, and aware of the great things we can do with it.

As part of our design process and brainstorming we took on the task of validating the project technically with experts in the area, thus achieving a first acceptance to integrate our development into possible services in our city.

Therefore, as the next stage of our project, we decided not to stay here only with the idea, but to implement it in our services and make financial processes, bureaucratic processes, purchases, among other movements, more efficient.

In addition to our passion for implementing our project, we know that there is a long way to go, as well as technologies and tools to explore, such as the Block-chain option, starting a service network with payments by crypto-currency, implementing discounts in local businesses through of payments on our platform as a means of promotion and dissemination and many more activities.

We will continue to develop new ideas and applications to be able to move forward as a society, from this contingency, as well as in the future that awaits us.
