About the Project: AI-Driven Public Procurement System

Inspiration

The idea for this project stemmed from the challenges of manual procurement systems, where bureaucracy, inefficiency, and corruption often hinder fair contract allocation. Governments worldwide struggle with lack of transparency, delayed tender evaluations, and favoritism in awarding contracts. Inspired by the need for an unbiased, efficient system, we developed a tech-driven solution to ensure fairness, speed, and accountability in public procurement.

What We Learned

Building this system taught us: The power of AI in decision-making – AI-driven procurement removes human bias and ensures fair selections. Integrating AI with databases – We optimized data handling with MongoDB while using Gemini AI API for intelligent proposal evaluation. Security & Authentication – Balancing ease of access with security was crucial for company and government logins. Handling expired tenders automatically – Proposals must be blocked instantly after expiration, requiring strict validation. Balancing transparency with security – Keeping procurement open yet secure was a unique challenge.
