Translator Up

Inspiration

Inspiration comes from life, especially foreigners, we all have our own language difficulties and encounters that we do not understand.

What it does

Translate Up is a browser extension, when you don't understand a video that you are watching, it helps understand the language. You can simply get that extension to live translating the subtitle.

How we built it

You can build this extension with CSS, HTML, and Javascript, also you will need the JSON file to import the extension into the browser. In the process, I use Figma to prototype the extension.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge we ran into is to use Javascript because of the lack of acknowledges and experiences from js. And also making an extension is a total challenge by itself.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we are very proud of being able to finish our project on time and learn new skills in the process.

What we learned

we have learned how to use Figma to make UI design. And learned what is like to create an extension. The most important thing we have learned is Teamwork as we make the project.

What's next for Translator Up

The next step for Translator Up is to actually finish making the extension and maintaining it. Until we are ready for it to publish for users to actually be able to use this.
