Inspiration

Construction procurement and logistics are still managed through phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, and spreadsheets, leading to delays and poor visibility. We wanted to build an AI-powered platform that automates these repetitive tasks while keeping humans in control of approvals and critical decisions.

What it does

TransitAI automates the entire procurement and supply chain workflow. It generates AI-powered RFQs, compares supplier quotations, assists with negotiations, creates purchase orders, books shipments with logistics partners, and tracks deliveries through a customizable workflow engine.

How we built it

We designed TransitAI as a modular AI platform with separate components for procurement, workflows, supplier management, logistics, and analytics. A configurable workflow engine orchestrates every stage, allowing companies to adapt the platform to their existing business processes.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was designing a workflow flexible enough to support different procurement processes across organizations. We also had to balance AI automation with human oversight, ensuring that AI accelerates decisions without replacing them.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a unified platform that connects procurement and supply chain into a single workflow. Our AI-driven RFQ automation, configurable workflow engine, and end-to-end logistics integration provide a strong foundation for intelligent construction operations.

What we learned

We learned that enterprise AI delivers the most value when it automates operational work rather than business decisions. We also gained a deeper understanding of procurement workflows, supplier management, and logistics coordination within the construction industry.

What's next for TransitAI

Our next goal is to integrate with ERP systems and logistics providers, introduce predictive demand forecasting, and enhance supplier intelligence using AI. We envision TransitAI becoming the AI operating system for construction procurement and supply chain management.
