Inspiration
My inspiration came from my work place's data loss due to manual paperworks and delays in report compilation.
What it does
The system coordinates the complete lifecycle of corporate assets—from supplier procurement in bulk warehouses down to physical distributions to main stores, branch-level transfers, and consumer-facing sales points. • End-to-End Stock Tracking: Maintains real-time tracking of purchased inventory items across their entire physical journey, starting from initial supplier receiving into central warehouses or stores, down to branch redistribution, POS points, and internal departments. • Precision Value Preservation: Calculates accurate stock value using cost-layer tracking. Preserves stock movement history, maintains localized branch-level stock visibility, and structures selling prices based on profit margins or manual override policies. • Multi-Tenant Organization Isolation: Enforces multi-organization logical isolation on a single database scheme, protecting private organization data through secure, unique organization identities. • Granular Role-Based Authorizations: Protects sensitive business operations (such as approving payment vouchers or deleting inventory) by restricting system functionalities according to authorized user roles and permissions. • Offline-First Cloud Synchronization: Ensures that individual branches can run transactional processes in low-connectivity settings, utilizing automated push/pull synchronization to reconcile branch-level data when online. • POS Operational Boundaries: Maintains store keeper responsibility and prevents cashier stock shrinkage by linking a dedicated POS client that can only consume stock issued explicitly to the POS sales point. • Unified Procurement & Finance Ledger: Consolidates business-wide financials by maintaining supplier profiles, purchase order statuses, direct invoice records, supplier ledgers, expenses, and a multi-level payment voucher approval workflow.
How I built it
It started as a personal project to streamline my work flow but at a stage, realize I the system can be scalable with the right input and features. That was when I changed the scope of the development and it gave birth to TransInvent.
Challenges I ran into
My main challenge was AI subscription as you have to spend reasonable amount to get required models to develop your projects.
Accomplishments that I proud of
I have been dreaming of developing a software that will solve a real world problem someday and I am proud when I ran and tested the system and saw that it can actually solve the problem in which I built it for.
What I learned
Many are of the opinion that AI will replace developers but that's not correct. AI is here to help us get the works done faster and you can build anything with AI if you have the basic knowledge and with the right commands.
What's next for TransInvent Business Management System
The next step is public usage of the system and also the development of TransInvent Hotel Management System.
