Inspiration

As developers, we spend hours writing code, but the real bottleneck happens after code generation—managing security scans, code reviews, compliance, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments. We wanted to eliminate human friction using the power of autonomous AI agents.

What it does

TranscendOps AI is a fully autonomous Hands-off GitLab Duo agent designed for the Life After Code Hackathon. It manages the complete DevSecOps lifecycle without human intervention:

• Automatically reads issues, plans, and writes code updates.
• Runs verification, package, security scans, and auto-fixes vulnerabilities.
• Seamlessly deploys the application directly to Google Cloud.

How we built it

• GitLab Duo Agent Platform: Used for orchestration, MCP servers, and building workflow flows.
• GitLab CI/CD: For automated pipelines and running 9 DevSecOps stages.
• Google Cloud: Used for hosting and production-ready cloud deployment.
• MIT License: Ensuring open-source compatibility under Path A.

Challenges we ran into

Configuring a completely hands-off autonomy loop without human-in-the-middle approvals required fine-tuning the agent prompts and error-handling mechanisms inside the GitLab pipeline so it could auto-correct failed security scans seamlessly.

What we learned

We mastered advanced GitLab Duo agent configurations, building autonomous CI/CD loops, and integrating robust cloud deployment automation.
