Inspiration

Social anxiety is a major problem. In fact, 16 million people in Indonesia suffer from this. It can be debilitating, it’s affecting personal relationships, professional opportunities, and overall quality of life. There are psychologist out there that can help you with this, but many still afraid to talk about it. This situation created many chatbot out there who have mission to help them, but many of them just a general chatbot with a little prompt engineering which may not give the best help, so this is why we Build Tranquil, a journal CBT based with AI integration and

What it does

The main features of Tranquil is CBT Based Journaling which already proven in many studies is effectice combatting social anxiety, we offer 3 CBT technique (Reframing Negative Thought, Savoring Positivity, and Exposure Hierarchy). Using Gpt-4 based model, we fine-tuned and trained AI with professional mental health specialist conversation to offer a better response. These Journaling also giving the user special things like the key takeaway, actionable things (which can be added to task), their mood, and word affirmations.

We also provide a empathic conversational AI that can help and understand the user expression based on their tone, this ai can response effectively and help them to talk more confident.

We provide analytics for each of those features to understand them better, and we applying gamification to make the journey feel more fun.

Lastly we understand that this just an AI and people actually need to go mental health specialist, so we also have a features that can give information to those like mental health specialist, about the user each journaling summary, this can help them to understand better and faster.

How we built it

We use Figma for the designing part, we also using ChatGpt especially Gpt-4 as the based model for our fine-tuned AI.

For the website we leveraging many 3rd party provider (ofc the rzn is due the time hehe), we use Clerk for the authentication, and Supabase as the database.

We using Next js, Typescript, TRPC, React-Query, Shadcn Ui, and Tailwind for our Web Tech Stack.

Challenges we ran into

Ofcourse time is the most difficult challenge here, while we want to implement many things to our website we aware that we must prioritize things and this is where is hard, to know what to cut or what to be still on the plan, we discuss a lot of time and eventually get a solution.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We proud that we have progress a lot, from having no idea at all what hackathon is to joinning and actually building product, its challenging but also a lot of fun

What we learned

Hackathon is not just about the hacks, its also about the fun, we learn that meeting many people from many background is actually exciting, we also learn alot about communication and team working.

What's next for Tranquil AI

There's still a lot of features that still not completed on Tranquil, in the futures we have plan to fill this gap and to always improve our product.
