Creativity has a new home and that is Air Picasso. Unleash the Picasso within you and impress your family and friends. Install Air Picasso on your phone and its companion Air Canvas application on your PC/Mac. After launching Air Picasso, wave your phone in the air like you would do with a brush and your strokes will appear on Air Canvas. You can create art and express yourself freely without physical tools like canvas, paint brushes.
Air Canvas is a Chrome application that starts a Bluetooth profile for Air Picasso apps to connect to. When you launch Air Picasso, you can use Bluetooth of your Android device to pair with a nearby Air Canvas. Air Canvas uses your phone accelerometer and gyroscope to detect the motion of your hand. We then process the sensor data, do noise reduction and smoothen your otherwise n00b drawing. This is streamed to the nearby Air Canvas and you can see the art you are creating right in front of you.
We envision this to be used in community art installations. Organisations can install projectors connected with a device with Air Canvas on it. Nearby people, or employees walking nearby the installation can use this Air Picasso to pair to the canvas, draw art and leave when they are satisfied for other people to contribute in the same canvas.
