Inspiration

I have been a digital nomad for over two years, traveling and meeting people, and I’ve noticed that many of us spend a significant amount of time searching for the best places to visit, work, and yet we still don’t know how to get there or what our best option would be. Having the best options laid out in detail will easily solve this situation.

What it does

It generates a daily itinerary of recommended places to visit in highly explored cities. Once these recommendations are obtained, the trips are profiled and tagged to understand and classify them quickly and easily, helping you comprehend what to do and whether the trip is suitable for your traveler profile.

How we built it

It uses Grok’s intelligence to identify trending global destinations and then connects to Google Maps to retrieve reviews and information from other people to understand what other travelers think about the places you want to visit. We combine human sentiment with AI intelligence to provide clear and concise information on what to do and how to do it.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to set up automated tasks for reading Google review information since they couldn’t be automated. Additionally, integrating Clerk with Supabase to synchronize user information and IDs posed challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are thrilled to have an application that allows us to read information from the internet and provide itineraries in a simple, straightforward, and engaging way. Knowing what to do, how to do it, and whether it’s suitable for my traveler profile saves a lot of time searching for activities.

What we learned

Grok can be used to analyze multiple information sources, enabling the generation of detailed, concise, and tailored overviews to know what to do. Supabase allows data storage using RLS, ensuring certainty and security in data management.

What's next for Traipp

Automate and optimize the search for new destinations, create and configure the AI agent to generate specific and personalized itineraries, allow inviting family members to itineraries to confirm plans, create a user dashboard to save trips and build a community, connect with social media to share trips instantly, and integrate with travel agencies like Booking to make reservations directly.
