Using the Qualcomm Dragonboard, PetDetect takes live video feed of your pets and utilizes OpenCV to discern exactly who, or what is trying to come through your pet door.

The software will recognize pets (specifically, cats) and let them through, but will refuse entry when an unrecognized creature comes to your door, and keep out unwanted wild animals like raccoons and mice.

The video feed is input through the DragonBoard camera, and then passed via Arduino to an external PC, and analyzed by an image detection AI. The device then sends a message to your Android application via web socket letting you know your fuzzy friend has returned home safe and sound.
