Trailforce One: Building Wattson for NordicVolt

Inspiration

We wanted to combine the pioneering spirit of Trailblazers with the practical power of Agentforce to build a real, working agent solution for a fictional but believable client: NordicVolt Solutions. Our goal was to create something that would not only work technically, but could scale and inspire real-world energy companies.

What it does

Wattson is an intelligent B2B commerce agent powered by Agentforce. It helps customers navigate complex product structures, place orders, create accounts, and perform basic configuration tasks—all inside a branded Salesforce Experience Cloud site. It's a faster, smarter way to interact with a B2B commerce setup.

How we built it

We used Salesforce's Agent Builder, combined with Promptbuilder, Apex, LWC, Flows, Messaging Queue, Service Channel, Embedded Service, and the Commerce APIs. UI and branding were developed in Figma, and ChatGPT helped us with image generation and copywriting. Wattson is fully embedded in a NordicVolt-branded Experience site.

Challenges we ran into

Some Agentforce limitations made things tricky—like the inability to switch between conversation topics or invoke actions outside the active topic. Also, industry-specific actions for Service Agents aren’t available yet, so we built a workaround using Apex and a connected app. Adding support for commerce APIs required effort since they’re not natively supported yet in Agentforce.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of the collaboration, creativity, and energy everyone brought. Despite the short timeline, we delivered a working agent in a realistic business context with an actual branded frontend. The enthusiasm and flexibility in our team made it really fun to build.

What we learned

Start earlier next time 😅 — and apply the technical lessons learned (like topic management and fallback logic). We also saw firsthand how valuable it is to just get started—learning happens fast once you build.

What's next for Trailforce One: Building Wattson for NordicVolt

We’d love to demo it internally and explore expanding Wattson’s capabilities and branding. It’s not just about the tech—we learned a lot from the creative process itself. For now, no plans to productize Wattson, but we see real potential in using this setup to explore scalable commerce agents further.
