Our project was coded entirely without AI!
Our Inspiration
One of our big inspirations was project reboot, who recently presented at LWHS. Project reboot is an organization that helps people manage their screentime and create better tech habits. Another inspiration of ours was Pokémon Go, a game where you walk around to catch Pokémon.
What We Learned
We learned a lot about MIT App Inventor and creating slideshows on Canva. In MIT App Inventor we learned block coding and how to use maps.
How We Made Our Project
We used a website called MIT App Inventor, that streamlines coding and designing apps. We mainly used the built in block coding and the tools they have to create our app.
Challenges
Of course, we faced challenges when making our game. The first challenge we faced was coming up with an idea. After Sari thought of the walking concept, we still didn't how to execute it. After a little digging we found MIT App Inventor to make the project a reality. Another challenge we faced was the markers spawning too far away from the player. This was fixed by limiting the area they could spawn.
