Inspiration

We wanted to create a way for people to turn their daily routes into art while exploring new destinations.

What it does

Trail Tale tracks users' daily routes, transforms them into customizable abstract art, and allows users to mint their creations as NFTs. Users can share their route art, store it in personal galleries, and earn rewards for exploring new places.

How we built it

We combined real-time GPS tracking with Anyone Protocol for privacy, DAIN for route-to-art conversion, and blockchain integration on Solana Network with Phantom Wallet to enable seamless NFT minting.

Challenges we ran into

Some dependencies like SockClient are not React-Native compatible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of having built an app that integrates Solana Phantom wallet and map tracking in a 24-hour hackathon and that we learned new technologies while doing so.

What we learned

We learned about real-time location tracking and wallet integrations in mobile apps. We also learned a bit about prompt engineering while trying to create artistic images from the route data.

What's next for Trail Tale

Post the hackathon, we plan to be able to integrate the stable diffusion response art image into the app and actually mint an NFT with that art image, so that people can see their achievements on the blockchain!
