Inspiration

We wanted to create an app that can be used a broad set of people

What it does

Our app is designed to help law enforcement track patterns of traffickers. This app can tell hotspots where traffickers have targeted to allow our law enforcement to increase patrolling and to let citizens know to be extra vigilant in certain areas. These hotspots may also help law enforcement track down traffickers to rescue more people. By mapping these, law enforcement can also use these points to look at patterns of trafficking such as time, location and targets.

Some challanges that we ran into was creating the app for both andriod and ios.

What's next for TrafficMap

If we had more time, we were going to further our app by making tracking devices in casual looking bracelets we are people could wear. You could track the location of these bracelets through our app. Since these bracelets are not expensive, oftentimes a traffickers will not take it away as opposed to cell phones or jewelry that are usually confiscated by the traffickers. This casual bracelet will enable law enforcement to track someone who is missing.
