The Lagos Independence Bridge Crisis (April 2025): When the Federal Government closed the Independence Bridge for emergency repairs, Lagos experienced catastrophic gridlock that lasted days. Commuters were trapped for over 48 hours, businesses shut down, and the economic impact was devastating. I witnessed firsthand how this "temporary" closure created a domino effect of chaos across the entire city.

The Human Cost: During one of these traffic nightmares, I watched helplessly as a patient in an ambulance died while gasping for breath—unable to reach the hospital because of an impenetrable wall of vehicles. Emergency services became useless when roads became parking lots. That moment changed everything for me.
