Inspiration

We wanted to make studying for Driver's Ed more interesting to study for, and to help people not fail the written exam because of dry study materials.

What it does

This is an educational game to teach the youth about traffic signs, partially in preparation in for their driving tests as a fun way to review/learn about traffic sign regulation.

How we built it

The project was built in unity with unity, and art was done with aseprite. The product is built for webGL to maximise reach and accessibility

Challenges we ran into

Our teammates computer broke down, this limited how well we could multitask. For most of us Unity was a new system so there was a lot of learning, but we were able to overcome the barrier and gain new experiences.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We kept within scope, very few feature needed to be cut in order ship our product on time. Art, specifically the background came out quite nice. The background music is an absolute bop.

What we learned

How to rely on external resources. How to shade buildings in order to add more depth. And that most of Europe drives on the right, its only the UK and its former colonies that drive on the left

What's next for Traffic Sign IQ

We hope to implement more signs into the game in order to broaden what the youth can learn with Traffic Sign IQ. Also to broaden past only Urban road signs and include things like highways, and park signs.
