Traffic Locale

Inspiration

The Motivation for creating "Traffic Locale" came from the fact ,that I myself have been experiencing a hectic schedule lately and have realized that I often miss some minor yet noteworthy things adding towards that was my interest in App development, although This field is completely new to me , I took this as a challenge and tried my best to make the best rookie app possible whilst using my experience as inspiration.

What it does

A colorful life is made up of the smallest , easily ignored details like meeting a friend , going for a walk , buying something you always wanted or doing something you planned to do, This App makes sure to help you not miss those moments in life. Traffic Locale is an app Designed for people with a hectic schedule , it acts as a reminder app in their day to day life at small, handy , yet needy and critical times.

How we built it

This App is made using Flutter.

Challenges we ran into

Firstly , the fact that I didn't know anything about app development itself stumped me, Choosing and Learning Flutter was not a hard task but as i had little knowledge of OOPS and java , it still posed quite a challenge , My hardware Situation also caused me a lot of trouble ,I wasn't able to run the Android Emulator smoothly so I had to use USB debugging to check the output of my code. Finally , The fact that I was doing this alone ,caused me a lot of de-motivation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of myself at the fact that I had not given up in the halfway through , especially through times where my screen was filled with errors which took hours to fix, proud of the fact that I, who knew nothing about android development and flutter 2 days ago , now made a working prototype and have the confidence that if I continue , I can launch it in play store. Adding to the fact that this is not my Core-Specialization ,and the weight it adds to my resume, I am proud of my sleepless nights.

What we learned

Having this as my first hackathon , I have learnt a lot. Learning not just technical stuff like Flutter and some basics about android development , but also that life skills like courage are necessary.

What's next for Traffic Locale

It depends, Mostly on my Schedule, but I will definitely Complete this App according to what I hoped it to be , and will probably also launch it to play store ^_^
