💡 Inspiration

Trading has become extremely popular among beginners, especially students. However, most new traders enter the market without fully understanding risk, market behavior, or strategy — which often leads to quick losses.

While exploring trading platforms, I noticed a major gap: most platforms focus on executing trades, not teaching users how to trade safely.

This inspired me to build TradeSmart — a platform that transforms trading from a risky activity into a guided learning experience powered by AI.

TradeSmart is an AI-powered trading simulator designed for beginners.

Instead of using real money, users:

  • Practice trading with a demo balance
  • Get AI-generated suggestions
  • Understand risk levels before trading
  • Learn from real-time feedback after each trade

🛠️ How I built it

This project was built as a design-first prototype focusing on user experience.

  • Frontend: Modern UI with dark theme and neon highlights
  • Charting: Integrated a lightweight candlestick chart library
  • Logic: Simulated market data and trade outcomes
  • AI System: Designed rule-based AI suggestions with explanations

For profit calculation, I used a simple formula:

3. User experience clarity Making sure users understand risk, profit, and outcomes at every step required multiple UI improvements.

4. Time constraints Building a polished prototype with smooth interactions in a limited time was one of the biggest challenges.
