Inspiration

Our group memebers all share an interest in trading stock, but what worries us is it that it can be costly since we are unexperience.

What it does

TraderRank is a software that allows users to purchase with up to date day stock prices. This allows users to experiement and practice day trading prior stepping to real world trading

How we built it

TraderRank was built through using API linking with Supabase and finnahub. Using the data, we implement it with our UI and backend developement update users daily on their stocks.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges with ideas and espically code. We had many ideas, but due to short amount of time we weren't able to incorporate our ideas espically the need to use software and tools we've never used before. Code errors and buds were major challenges that we stumbled on but it was an rewarding learning experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Since this is our first hackathon, we are proud to create this softare using a variety of tools and new software we've never used before to create this project within such a short amount of time.

What we learned

Through building this project, we learned so much through collaboration with memebers on ideas, using new tools, and breaking down and solving problems. This project was challenging, but we also learned to persistence and dedication in important in learning espically handling with new tools and we so proud to create so much within such limited time.

What's next for TraderRank

Within the last 18 hours, this is only the beginning for TraderRank. Currently its a simulation for users to practice day trading, we have plans on potentially integrating with real stocks and real money for users. In the future, it can not only be a simulation but a stock trading software.
