What it does
TraderAssistant is a Python-powered desktop screener that automates technical analysis across stocks, crypto, forex, and commodities. It fetches live multi-timeframe market data (Daily trend context and 1-hour entry triggers) via Yahoo Finance, evaluates 8 classic candlestick patterns and 3 technical indicators (MACD, Bollinger Bands, RSI), and ranks high-probability LONG and SHORT opportunities using a weighted confluence scoring system. Results are presented instantly in a native desktop window featuring interactive candlestick charts.

- Combining a lightweight Flask backend thread with pywebview to deliver a seamless, browser-free desktop user experience.
- Implementing parallelized yfinance requests to ensure fast scan times across large watchlists.
- Translating complex financial logic (candlestick pattern recognition, volume confirmation, and indicator thresholds like RSI, MACD, and Bollinger Bands) into clean, modular Python code using pandas and ta.
