Inspiration
We wanted to do the fintech category and were brainstorming when a duolingo notifcation popped up and Zach trying to teach us about how to trade so we made a bot to do it better.
What it does
There are 38 lessons and games to play to learn how to trade stocks, there also is a basic gemini model that answers specifically to answer questions on trading and the markets.
How we built it
We each took different parts, first focusing on getting the front end done by making the app model and then the game finishing with the backend.
Challenges we ran into
Learning .jsx on the fly as we had only really used html but needed more from our language and spending the entire night until 9 coding.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We finished and all enjoyed it.
What we learned
React and Capitalization MATTERS. We also learned more about firebase and gemini.
What's next for TradeLingo
We hope to use this framework as part of our senior project.
