Inspiration
After a brainstorming session, we ended up deciding to work on an idea mixing an "Art Gallery" and Bidding War/Auction system.
What it does
Traction, in its current state, presents a potential seller with an interface allowing for the listing of any of their items in an auction hub functioning in the Terra ecosystem.
How we built it
Following guidance from dev help and workshops, we worked with Cosmwasm tools in order to flesh out a backend implementation of smart contracts. As for the frontend, we set up a seller interface home page with a header, and a box with user input reading for details regarding their item, with formatting and styling.
Challenges we ran into
The challenge of working with the Terra ecosystem as well as Rust proved to be quite a hurdle, but makes for a great deal of growth in skills regarding picking up new technologies, and making good use of documentation, resources, as well as peers.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The motivation, wit and perseverence our group members have shown over the weekend, whether in getting familiar with the required technologies, or in creative bugfixing and ideas for the project to move forward, reaching the stage it has is definitely a great source of pride for all of us.
What we learned
The limited timeframe imposed for the project made for a significant lesson in dividing tasks, time management, and coordination, without which our project would not have reached significant project, and no doubt, having garnered these improvements, a challenge in the same format would cause much less of an issue in terms of the few features we did not manage to integrate in time.
What's next for Traction
Full integration of buyer-side frontend interface, as well as backend implementation bugfixes are the tasks we did not end up fulfilling within the timeframe, as such, they are a priority in continuous development of Traction.
