So my group members are Gia Bao Pham, Nam Quan Huynh, and Gia Huy Pham and we all love working out. Working out has been proven to be very beneficial to human health and it also makes us look better. Of course, we were, at some point, a beginner at the gym and we know how frustrating it is to come up with a good workout split. You have no knowledge about macronutrients and don’t know where to begin, or simply what exercise to do. And that is how we come up with our website, “Track Your Fitness”. The website will ask the users to enter their personal information such as: age, height, weight and gym experience. Then based on that information, the website will design a plan for them. The plan will consist of 2 parts: exercises at the gym and meal plans. We built our website with html, css and javascript. Along the way, we also ran into some problems. The biggest one out of those was how we will come up with a tailored workout plan based on user input. After brainstorming for a while, we decided to keep our website simple and stick with some basic gym info such as: if you want to lose weight, you would do more cardio and eat less carbs or if you want to build muscle you would eat more protein. We are really proud of our project as well as everything we have built so far as it would make people, especially beginners, find their way through their gym journey more easily. With this project, we also learnt how to work efficiently as a team and apply what we have learnt from school to build something practical to actually solve a problem in the real world. In the near future, we may upgrade our website so it takes users log in and check in with them daily to keep them motivated and also do a full detailed analysis on their workout journey after every month or so.
