Inspiration

It’s quite cumbersome to keep track of all your internship and job applications and missing an application submission deadline is quite common. We too faced the same issue of missing the deadline for important job applications which is very frustrating. So, to help you keep track of application deadlines we built this project. This project not only helps us but it helps every student and working professional looking for a new job. We made it a chrome plugin because it is more accessible and easy.

What it does

Grabbr is a chrome plugin that helps you keep track of application deadlines as well as allows you to keep track of the details regarding the internships you have already applied for. Also , it shows you the top internship opportunities for which you can apply.

How we built it

Our team made chrome extension using React.js and made backend with Node.js and MongoDB for the same.

Challenges we ran into

We didn’t have any knowledge of how to make a chrome extension before coming into this hackathon. We wanted to make something people can relate to so we came with the idea of Grabbr. We watched tons of tutorials on how to make a chrome extension and since we were familiar with React.js, it made the process very easy. We made a backend with Node.js and MongoDB
