Trackora AI: Project Story
About the Project
Trackora AI is a conversational AI currently in its early development stages, designed to empower blind individuals to study independently. The goal is to create an accessible, interactive tool that enhances learning experiences for visually impaired users by leveraging cutting-edge natural language processing and speech synthesis technologies.
Inspiration
The inspiration for this project came from recognizing the challenges blind individuals face in accessing educational resources. By harnessing the power of technology, I aim to build a solution that bridges these gaps and promotes self-directed learning for all.
What I’m Learning
- User-Centric Design: Developing for accessibility is teaching me to focus on inclusivity and user needs at every step.
- AI and Speech Technology: Exploring conversational AI and text-to-speech (TTS) systems, including tools like Kokoro TTS, is deepening my technical expertise.
- Empathy in Development: This project is helping me understand the importance of addressing real-world problems through thoughtful technology solutions.
How I’m Building It
- Frontend: Using React to create an accessible interface optimized for screen readers.
- Backend: Developing with FastAPI to handle AI interactions and natural language processing.
- AI Model: Experimenting with conversational AI to ensure it provides context-aware and accurate responses.
- TTS Integration: Testing Kokoro TTS for delivering clear, natural-sounding voice output.
Challenges Faced
- Accessibility Standards: Researching and implementing best practices to ensure usability for blind users has been a steep but rewarding learning curve.
- Voice Clarity: Balancing natural-sounding and precise speech synthesis remains a key technical challenge.
- Early Testing: Gathering feedback from visually impaired individuals to refine and improve the prototype is ongoing and invaluable.
Looking Ahead
Trackora AI is still in its infancy, but the vision is clear: to create a powerful tool that enables equal access to education for visually impaired learners. While there’s much work to be done, the potential impact of this project fuels my determination to bring it to life.
