Inspiration
My group was inspired by the fact that we are forgetful people; when at the store, buying things you already have at home is very easy. That's where TracknSave comes in.
What it does
This app allows you to input items and quantities into a list. You can then update the list as you need until the amount is zero, thus allowing you to know when you need to purchase more of the item.
How we built it
HTML/CSS(Bootstrap)/JS is used for front-end and interactivity. With Python and Flask for backend storage capabilities
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many challenges using and pushing to our GitHub repository, as no one in our group has ever made a web application or used Git/GitHub.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud just for the fact that we came to the hackathon and were able to produce something to present. IT wasn't a massive and in-depth project like some other amazing groups here, but we're proud that we accepted the challenge and continued to work through adversity.
What we learned
I learned that no matter what obstacles you have in computer science/software development, if you continue to hack away at the problem, eventually you will be able to break through.
What's next for TracknSave
We will try to continue building the app.
