Tracking People’s Minds during the Spread of 2019-nCoV

Inspiration

2019-nCoV has been spreading at an incredibly fast pace. Were people mentally prepared to prevent infections and spreads? We attempt to track people’s minds during the spread of the virus.

What it does

How we built it

Web crawling, data processing, visualization.

Challenges we ran into

Crawling data limit, broken computer, messed up/wrong data, sleepiness.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have found how people tend to think throughout the spread of the virus.

What we learned

We learned the importance of setting a topic that can be analyzed deeply to find interesting results.

What's next for Tracking People’s Minds during the Spread of 2019-nCoV

We hope to share our findings with people, to alert them that thinking ahead of time is important for infection prevention.
