Inspiration

After having multiple blood tests due to my elevated liver enzymes, I found it hard to keep track of everything. I created this program to be able to record what date tests were taken, if the patient was fasting, what medications they were on, and the enzyme levels recorded. I thought having a program like this to keep track of all my numbers would help me to have all the proper information when going to a doctor.

What it does

It allows a user to look at past blood work readings and enter the results of a new one. The program takes this information, organizes it, and analyzes it. The average level of each enzyme and if the level is dangerous will be determined.

How I built it

I first needed to add all the information to a report on an account. The program will then determine the averages or the status of each enzyme by going through each blood work submitted, including any entered by the user. Then a menu is used to prompt the user to enter either a report or for the user to access the information on their account.

** The video shows adding a report to an account, that already has previous reports. Then the data is analyzed to find the averages and if any reading is dangerous.

Challenges I ran into

Trying to access certain enzymes or dates when finding dangerous levels.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud I was able to find a way to store all the information in one place and accomplish my goal within a short period of time.

What I learned

It is important to keep track of what information is in a certain class or what method is in a certain class. Once I got everything organized, it was easier to complete the project.

What's next for Tracking and Analyzing Enzymes through Blood Tests

finding a way to graph the results or finding a way to read off a report given from a lab.
