Inspiration

I’m a motorsport fan who’s played way too much GeoGuessr—so I figured, why not make a version just for race tracks?

What it does

TrackGuesser shows you an aerial view of a motorsport track along with a world map using Google maps API. Your challenge is to figure out where that track is in the world by placing a marker on the map at the correct location.

How we built it

TrackGuesser’s front end has been built with Bolt.new. All the track data lives in Supabase so we can pull up new circuits fast and keep things running smooth.

Challenges we ran into

Bolt.new messed up the code for Supabase several times, and some track coordinates were totally off, so I had to fix those by hand. But hey, that’s part of the fun!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to write a browser based game without writing a single line of code

What we learned

  • AI will not replace you. However, someone who knows how to use AI effectively will
  • The hottest new programming language is english

What's next for TrackGuesser

  • Adding more tracks
  • Leaderboard
  • Multi player game
