Inspiration

As we continue through the pandemic, we see more and more people traveling. We wanted to create a mobile application where users can report and view incidents reports in the area that they plan to travel to. This will bring awareness to the potential dangers that may happen and prevent them when traveling.

What it does

Tracket is your personal safety travel pocket. It allows users to report and view incidents from anywhere at any time when traveling. Allow users to receive notifications whenever an incident is around their area. Users can use tracket as their digital wallet to store important documentation whenever they're on the go. Provide users with a forum-based community where travelers share their experiences of their travels. With the itinerary list system, tracket can be used to set reminders on what users planned to do during their travels.

How we built it

Built with Figma, React Native, JavaScript, Firebase, and Firestore

Challenges we ran into

  • Struggled to come up with an idea
  • Different design ideas to choose from
  • Time constraints; difficult to create a fully functional application under 24 hrs

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Pushed through and came up with an application idea
  • Came up with a design implementation in a short amount of time

What we learned

  • Need a better strategy for brainstorming ideas
  • Use of Firestore

What's next for tracket

  • Continue to construct the application with React Native
  • Include a live map to showcase the location of incident reports
  • Complete user login system
  • Implement database
