Inspiration
Hundreds of dogs are abandoned and rescued everyday. Although there are many wonderful souls across the nation who work extra hours and put in efforts beyond their capacity, there is always a shortage of communication across the animal activist circuit and the people Keeping this issue in mind, we have built the Pet Tracker.
What it does
This online portal aims to establish a database of pet animals dogs that are available in many cities and others across the country. We are here to not just display these pets but assist in the process by having a streamlined process in place which includes looking for the type of pet to adopt and get all the information regarding it
How we built it
We have used HTML, CSS, Java Script, Boot Strap, Vanilla Js for frontend. We used Strapi CMS for making backend APIs.
Challenges we ran into
We had to do the coding twice to get the final result. as we are all newbies and learned things in only 2 days. The most difficult part was implementing new things.Using strapi was a very new experience and we where not familiar with it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It was really a hack(mara)thon for us. Time and work pressure made us more strong, practical and motivated. We are glad to have submitted our project. Hard work paid off.
What we learned
We learned new technologies like Boot Strap and how to use domains and intergrate it.
What's next for Track_Your_Pets
The next level is to add GPS tracker connecting so as to find and rescue any abandones pets nearby
