Inspiration

My little sister loves engaging and challenging games. One of her favorites is to track a single object as a number of them which are similar are shuffled. I decided to do a simple one for her well as according to her she has outwitted other games she has played.

What it does

At the start of the puzzle, You have 16 tiles where 4 of them are unique, in this case the four tiles are a birds eye while the rest have a similar color blue. As the game starts, you track the bird eye tiles as they are being shuffled around. When the countdown is almost one, the bird eye tiles disappear and change to a similar color as the rest of the tiles. Then that`s where the real challenge is as you will be required to track the bird eye tiles, now in similar color to others, to their final resting position when the shuffling is done. With the shuffling done you now try to choose the bird eye tiles current position. If you select the correct tile the bird eye will be revealed. You get 6 moves to find the four tiles which when you exhaust the game ends.

How we built it

The game maintains the initial architecture of the slide puzzle. I did modifications on the Puzzle class, the PuzzleState and PuzzleBloc class which record and maintain state of the puzzle progress. The game has 16 asset images where 12 of them are of the same color and the remaining 4 comprise of the bird. This are the assets that are loaded into the tile widgets to form the puzzle.

Challenges we ran into

It was a bit time consuming to make the game cross platform but I finally figured it out.

What's next for Track the bird eye

I plan on improving the game to make it level based such that when you solve a puzzle, you are advanced to another one which is harder and with more eye birds to track.
