What's next for TraceIt!

The mission of our app is to help young children ages three to nine develop their reading, writing, counting, and drawing skills as well as learning their shapes, numbers, and letters. This is an activity they can participate in with their friends, parents, or even at school. This app will help kids learn their shapes, numbers, and letters by having them trace the selected images or even doodling on a blank canvas. Our challenges were, linking screens, calling the clear button to clear the canvas, and creating our own individual worksheets for kids to trace. The way we resolved these obstacles was by doing extensive research and experimenting with different blocks, we also went on a computer software program called paint and we created worksheets by hand. We plan on improving our app over the course of time by adding audio to identify the numbers, letters, and shapes when clicked as well as inserting a slider on every page. We learned through the process of creating TraceIt! how to code, design, and develop an application through MIT App Inventor 2 as well as improving our teamwork, patience, and creativity skills. We want to thank NAF and our educator for this opportunity, we hope you enjoy our creation! Happy Tracing!
