Inspiration
The team was inspired by the need for better safety, efficiency, and cost reduction in the mining industry, particularly for dumpers. Monitoring tire pressure and maintenance proactively can significantly improve performance and safety in challenging terrains.
What it does
The app offers customizable alerts for tire maintenance and real-time tire pressure monitoring. It uses historical data analysis to optimize tire decisions and employs TKPH (tonne kilometers per hour) to determine the best tire for specific conditions.
How we built it
The team used Flutter for building the app, Arduino IDE to program sensors, and Proteus software for simulating sensor functionality. Firebase handles data storage, while Blender and Unity were used for 3D modeling and interactive simulations.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges included integrating hardware components like Arduino sensors and ESP32 with the Flutter app, as well as ensuring real-time data communication and seamless user experience across the system
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The team successfully implemented real-time tire pressure monitoring using affordable, widely available IoT technologies and built a user-friendly interface to manage data.
What we learned
We gained expertise in hardware-software integration, real-time data analysis, and using technologies like Flutter, Arduino, and Firebase for industrial applications.
What's next for Tpms integrated app
The next steps include adding more advanced analytics, expanding sensor coverage, and refining the UI for enhanced user interaction and fleet management.
