Inspiration

The idea for ToyotallyYours came from the challenge many car buyers face—finding the perfect Toyota that matches their lifestyle, budget, and preferences. Whether it’s a fuel-efficient sedan, a rugged SUV, or a high-performance sports car, customers often struggle with overwhelming choices. Our goal was to simplify the process by creating an intuitive app that guides users toward their dream Toyota.

What it does

Explore Toyota Models – Browse a comprehensive catalog of Toyota vehicles with an efficient filter search bar tool Quiz to Find your Dream Car - Based on your answers, the website will accurately determine your dream car(s).

How we built it

Frontend: React.js with Tailwind CSS for a responsive and sleek UI. Backend: Django (Python) for handling API requests and user preferences. Database: PostgreSQL for storing user selections, search history, and vehicle data. APIs: Integrated public source car data in the database.

Challenges we ran into

Data Integration: Ensuring real-time and accurate Toyota vehicle information required efficient API calls. Optimizing Search & Filters: Building an intuitive filtering system to match users with their ideal cars. User Experience: Crafting a design that balances simplicity and functionality while keeping users engaged.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We completed a full-stack application that accurately predicted the perfect car for the user. We are proud of all the learning we had through this hackathon!

What we learned

We learned many new technologies, including Terraform.
