Inspiration

We noticed that picking the right car often means using multiple resources, which may be inaccurate or inconsistent. With ToyotaYou, virtually all the relevant information about a car is not only available but the user is able to filter in endless ways. This significantly simplifies preparation for car purchase/rental, giving the client full transparency and a more pleasant experience.

What It Does

ToyotaYou lets users choose in what they want in a car, from budget and fuel type to comfort and capacity.

How We Built It

We built the front end with Next.js and React, using TypeScript so components were easy to manage. The backend is basically a set of API routes that handle user input and filter through car options.

Challenges We Ran Into

Managing the scale of the project was the most difficult.

As beginners, we learned the process of a full stack development project.

What's Next For ToyotaYou

Adding more detailed financing options, as well as more personal aspects of car shopping. Teaching the AI to understand more nuanced or complicated user preferences. Creating a dashboard so users can compare different cars and options visually. Hyperlinking car displays so the user can visit the regular Toyota website, for the car of their choosing, and find a nearby dealership,
