Inspiration
We created Toyota_AI_Assistant because we know how overwhelming the car-buying process can be. With so many options and opinions out there, it's hard to know where to start. We wanted to make it easier for people to find their perfect car by using AI to provide personalized recommendations and insights.
What it does
Toyota_AI_Assistant is like having a knowledgeable friend who helps you find the ideal Toyota model. It analyzes thousands of real customer reviews to give you recommendations based on your preferences. Whether you're looking for something sporty, family-friendly, or eco-friendly, Toyota_AI_Assistant has got you covered. You will be able to check out positive or negative reviews about one specific toyato vehicle.
How we built it
We built Toyota_AI_Assistant using a mix of HTML, CSS, Flask, and Google Generative AI. The backend does the heavy lifting, processing your input and fetching relevant info from the dataset. Then, the AI kicks in to generate responses. Meanwhile, the frontend provides a friendly interface for chatting with the assistant. Finally, my local server that run my application is posted via the domain provided by Ngrok.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the AI smoothly into the chatbot was tougher than we expected. We encountered many issues while running a generative AI to generate texts, as they have many setup issues and dependencies. Additionally, we used MacOS M1, but most of the AI setup tasks required Nvidia GPUs for optimal performance or model fine-tuning. We also struggled to find a suitable dataset to work with.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're thrilled to have created a chatbot that genuinely helps people find their dream car. Plus, we're proud of how seamlessly the frontend and backend work together to provide a great user experience.
What we learned
We learned a ton about natural language processing, frontend-backend integration, and managing big datasets. Most importantly, we learned how AI can make a real difference in people's lives.
What's next for Toyota_AI_Assistant
In the future, we want to make Toyota_AI_Assistant even better. That means adding support for other car brands, providing real-time pricing info, and improving the AI's accuracy. Our goal is to make car shopping as stress-free as possible for everyone
