Toyota Matchmaker

Inspiration

Car buying can be a stressful experience for many. But swiping on people in dating apps? Yes Please!!!!!

What it does

Toyota Matchmaker introduces swiping mechanics, similar to the ones you see in dating apps, for an easy and less stressful car-buying experience. Not only does it integrate swiping mechanics when helping you find your one and only... car, but Toyota Matchmaker includes other helpful features, including options to save cars onto a list, contact the nearest Toyota dealership, and an AI assistant to help you find your perfect dream car!

How we built it

We designed it using Figma, used Next.js/Javascript for front-end development, and Flask/Python for back-end development.

Challenges we ran into

We didn't know how to use Next.js and connect Next.js with the back-end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Isn't the UI the prettiest, cutest, most beautiful UI you have ever seen? What about the features/functionalities?? Aren't they the coolest, most amazing, most helpful features you have ever encountered when buying a car???

What we learned

My boyfriend makes really weird faces when I show him that I'm looking at dating apps for research.

What's next for Toyota Matchmaker - Car Dating App

We plan to add a Map API so that you will be able to locate your nearest Toyota dealership. We also plan to integrate a Like/Dislike feature and more ways to filter your preferences in order to improve our recommendation system!
