Inspiration

We wanted to learn the basics of React while implementing AI features and gaining experience in developing both the front-end and back-end.

What it does

Toyota DreamFind creates an intelligent filtering and searching system that allows users to browse the catalog in a more efficient manner with the power of AI. Users can easily compare the leasing and financing costs of cars while taking their preferences into consideration through the filtering system. The favoriting functionality allows for users to quickly browse their best picks and narrow them down.

How we built it

Using mock data from a parsed JSON file online, we were able to populate a react page with information which can be then filtered and searched with the power of Gemini.

Challenges we ran into

We are new to tools like React, GitHub, and Gemini and overcame the learning curve involved using resources such as YouTube, w3 schools and ChatGPT.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned how to utilize the terminal to interact with web projects and create our first web project. Also, we were able to design the UI/UX to reflect Toyota's company colors/typography and overall style.

What we learned

We learned how to utilize AI to overcome learning curves and this was our first foray in designing an AI feature (Gemeni parsing) so users can type their dream car specifications and filter through results.
