A platform which connects the students and tutors

Inspiration

  • People starting as private Tutor are facing difficulty in getting students(the current process is by setting a WhatsApp status that you are ready to teach or Advertizing in A4 size paper and polluting walls)

  • Small Institutes are facing difficulty in Scaling and getting more students

  • Students are facing difficulty in searching for good local coaching classes for studies/arts/extracurricular, and end up joining coaching kilometers away wasting time to travel.

What it does

  • Tutions/Tutors can register through our app and add their details( description/address/fee/achievements ). Our app will help them to get the students.

  • Students can register through our app and can check that which tutions are available nearby their place.

  • Students can also rate any tution/tutor, The rating system will help other students to find the best tution for them.

  • Many people lost their job due to covid. They can start their career as a private tutor by teaching students some skills( study, dance, yoga, music, etc)

  • Students and Tutors can communicate via chat support on our app.

  • Most of the Private tutions or Institutes switched to online mode during this pandemic they face difficulty at different levels like meeting platform, Exam, and Test Platform, collaborative learning Board. We will add all the things in our app so that they don't get any difficulty. (Future planning for this project)

How we built it

  • We used flutter framework for frontend of our app, firebase authentication for authentication, firestore for database and we used the text classification V2 TensorFlow lite model to analyze the feedback from students.

Challenges we ran into

  • The first challenge was to think about a unique idea itself.
  • Firebase took a lot of time in authentication, we got a lot of bugs in sending OTP to the phone.
  • Give ranking to the tutions according to students' comments was also a big challenge for us.
  • After completing the project we thought more that how can we do something more special for society from this app, so we thought about educating poor students through connected tutions (tutions that are connected with our app)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We are feeling proud because we have completed our project in a limited time.

What we learned

  • We learned how to integrate firebase with flutter and how to use the TensorFlow model. We also learned time management skills.

In the future we have decided to do these things

  • Students can attend google meet/Zoom according to the schedule inbuilt in the App itself.

  • Teachers can evaluate the progress of students by taking Online Quizzes in the App itself.
