Inspiration# Project Reflection: Toy Tales PVP
Inspiration
The project was inspired by the timeless movie Toy Story. The idea of toys coming to life in a chaotic, imaginative world motivated me to create Toy Tales PVP, where players battle it out as quirky, animated toys in two unique bedrooms.
What I Learned
During development, I learned how to use Horizon’s Visual Scripting Blocks. Mastering this scripting tool allowed me to implement dynamic gameplay mechanics and interactions, making the game more immersive and exciting.
How I Built It
I used Blender to design and refine the toy and trash models, ensuring they were visually appealing and ready for import. These detailed models helped bring the game’s unique atmosphere to life.
Challenges
The steepest challenge was learning and applying Horizon’s Visual Scripting Blocks. It was tricky at first, and with the help from another meta creator i ended up collaborating with we overcame this hurdle which was a major milestone that unlocked the game’s full potential.
Collaborations and Connections
One of the most fulfilling aspects was the connections I made along the way. I met incredible friends during the project and even included one of them in the development process, which enriched the final product with fresh ideas and perspectives.
Toy Tales PVP is a testament to creativity, perseverance, and collaboration, and I’m thrilled to share it with the world!
